Storage of data has become the need of the hour. Any amount of storage space is not enough for the ever-increasing appetite for data storage. External storage devices started with the floppy disc which was hardly reliable and then moved on to the compact discs and then the dvds and usb and external hard discs. How ever, there has been no real evolution on the existing concepts. Until now that is. The latest sensation to hit the computer industry is the blue ray disc.
This is similar in looks to a normal cd or a dvd and also similar in size. How ever, it has a much higher memory capacity. The single layer disc can pack as much as 25GB of data where as the double layer can accommodate up to 50 GB of data. The data being stored will be kept safely and reliably.
